Are you ready for Peak to Creek 2019?
Mark the date: on 26 January we will held the fourteenth edition of Peak to Creek, the only alpine ski race that allows you to ski from the 3,012 meters of Cima Bianca to the 1,225 meters of Bormio, along the famous Stelvio slope, with more than 8 kilometers of endless ski run!
Creek to Peak is on the schedule as well. The night ski mountaineering vertical race, introduced as a new highlight in 2018 and confirmed with full credit.
The big news for 2019 is the unique date which will display two races in the same day and then a special après-ski party with all the participants at the hotel Girasole in Bormio 2000.
Due to bad weather conditions, we are forced to postpone both Peak to Creek and Creek to Peak 2018.
We area heartbroken but unfortunately it’s part of the game when you are dealing with an event organized on a mountain above 3,000 meters. Nature rules, always.
Having you racing in bad visibility conditions it’s not fun neither safe. The high avalanche risk will obligate us to close some parts of the course and also a very strong wind is expected to hit Bormio. Peak to Creek is first of all a party: and if it is not fun, what kind of party is it?
The races are therefore postponed. We will soon communicate the new dates. The registration to the event remains valid.
We apologize for the accident. We do not command the weather yet, but for next year we will try to better in this aspect as well. If someone has this kind power, come forward.

Yesterday the event Peak to Creek 2017 took place on the ski area of Bormio (Italian Alps): 400 hundred skiers joined what it was named as “the greatest one on one ski challenge”, which made its twelth edition.
The original course was supposed to start from the peak of the mountain, at 3,012 meters, but due to safety measures, the Organizing Committee wisely decided to lower the start from 2,636 meters at Cimino. The original and unique paired up start and the tough passages on the Stelvio slope maintained the spectacular nature of the race. The distance of the course was 5.9 km and the vertical drop was 1,411 meters.
Once the top racers reached the finish lined in Bormio – at 1,225 m – they looked short of breath and tired as proof of the race’s hardness. Relaxing and smiling were, instead, the non competitive skiers who were anyhow the sure protagonists of the day.
Tomorrow morning in Bormio (Italian Alps) four hundred skiers will be battling against each other on one of the toughest and spectacular ski runs around the globe. The start list Peak to Creek 2017 is available online:
