Peak to Creek 2020 cancelled

the Organizing Committee of Peak to Creek announces that the 2020 edition has been cancelled. 

The tough decision was made after evaluating the sentiment of the public, the participants and all the people involved in the event.

The race was born in 2006 with the goal to promote the incredible vertical drop of Bormio’s ski area and the quality of its slopes – like the legendary Stelvio – with a unique characteristic:

the paired-up start at the top (3,012 m) with the finish line at the valley run (1,225 m).

Creek to Peak 2019: new itinerary!

Longer. Tougher. Cooler. Creek to Peak, the ski mountaineering vertical race, after the success of its first edition, has been confirmed with a new itinerary. Peak to Creek 2017: a great day of skiing in Bormio

Yesterday the event Peak to Creek 2017 took place on the ski area of Bormio (Italian Alps): 400 hundred skiers joined what it was named as “the greatest one on one ski challenge”, which made its twelth edition.

The original course was supposed to start from the peak of the mountain, at 3,012 meters, but due to safety measures, the Organizing Committee wisely decided to lower the start from 2,636 meters at Cimino. The original and unique paired up start and the tough passages on the Stelvio slope maintained the spectacular nature of the race. The distance of the course was 5.9 km and the vertical drop was 1,411 meters.

Once the top racers reached the finish lined in Bormio – at 1,225 m – they looked short of breath and tired as proof of the race’s hardness. Relaxing and smiling were, instead, the non competitive skiers who were anyhow the sure protagonists of the day.

The schedule of Peak to Creek 2017

The Organizing Committee gathered on the evening of January 20 and in that occasion it made the schedule of Peak to Crek 2017 official. The event will regularly take place on Saturday January 28, 2017 with the race start scheduled for 10:45 am.

The after-race will be very different this year with the prize giving ceremony and the party at the Ski Stadium Atleti Azzurri d’Italia. At the bottom of the legendary Stelvio slope we will arrange lunch for the race participants. Since morning time you will have music and entertainment on the snow with several food and beverage stations and a dj set.

At 3:00 pm the prize giving ceremony will be prepared on the stage and then at 4:00 pm the Peak to Creek Party will start.

Peak to Creek Promo: registration at € 25 within January 13

The Peak to Creek Promo will expire in a few days so it’s now time to take advantage of it. Go to the ticket office of Bormio Ski or do it online to buy your participation to the event at only € 25 within January 13.

Peak to Creek, scheduled for January 28, is defined as the endless ski run, a race which warms the hearts of every ski lover just by the thinking and dreaming of it. It’s a nosedive of 1,800 meters which attracts hundreds of people, every year, to come to Bormio and ski it.

Peak to Creek, the greatest one on one ski challenge, will be back on January 28, 2017 in Bormio, Alta Valtellina (Italy). The registrations to join the twelth edition of the “endless ski run” are already open at a promotional launching price: only € 25 per person.
